Research aims
- Develop conceptual approaches to the analysis of the impact of radical Russian reforms on changes in society considering a comprehensive analysis of long-term and situational factors;
- Analyze of political reform in the Russian Far East in the 1990s. within conditions of remoteness and border position of the region;
- State the key outcomes of the transformative process of regional elites;
- Study stages and peculiarities of privatization and corporatization in the region, the formation of entrepreneurship, partnerships with foreign capital;
- Study conditions and mechanisms of economy and social adaptation to systemic transformations in specific peripheral territories (Chukotka, Kuril Islands, the BAM zone);
- Analyze the state of the Far Eastern society, identification of new trends in social and ethno-demographic dynamics and their impact on changes in the structural characteristics of the regional population;
- Analyze everyday practices in the period of cardinal reform;
- Study the artistic intelligence as a specific socio-professional group and its reaction to transformational processes;
- Determine the reforms impact on the state of academic science in the Far East;
- Identify the features of the revival of religious life in the Far East in the 1990s, the interaction between authorities and religious organizations, determine problems in interfaith relations encountered during the systemic reforms.
